RIMMON(Ἐρεμμὼν), a city of the tribe of Simeon (Josh. 19.7), mentioned by Zechariah as the extremity of the land of Judah (14.10). Placed by Eusebius S. of Daroma, 16 miles from Eleutheropolis. (Onomast. s. vv. Ἐρεμβὼν, Ῥέμμα.) He places another town of the same name 15 miles north of Jerusalem. (lb. s. v.Ῥεμμοῦς.)
