SALAMI´NIAS a town in Coele-Syria in the district Chalybonitis ( It. Anton. p. 197; Not. Imp. ), which Reland ( Palaest. 1. p. 217) identifies with Salamias (Σαλάμιας) in the Not. Leonis Imp., and with Salemjatin Abulfeda ( Tab. Syr. p. 105). It is said still to bear the name Selmen. (Richter, Wallfahrten, p. 238.)
