SALVA(Σαλούα), a town in the north-eastern extremity of Lower Pannonia, on the right bank of the Danube. (Ptol.2.16.4; Itin. Ant. pp. 266, 267.) According to the Notitia Imperii, where it is called Solva, it contained a garrison of a body of horsemen. The site of this place cannot be ascertained with certainty.
