SEGOSA in Gallia, is placed by the Antonine Itin. on a road from Aquae Tarbellicae ( Dax) to Burdigala ( Bordeaux). The first station from Aquae Tarbellicae is Mosconnum, or Mostomium, the site of which is unknown. The next is Segosa, which D'Anville fixes at a place named Escousséor Escoursé. But he observes that the distance, 28 Gallic leagues, between Aquae and Segosa is less than the distance in the Itin.
