Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

SETAE, SETTAE, or SAETTAE (Σέται, Σέτται, or Σαίτται), a town in Lydia, near the sources of the river Hermus, which is not mentioned by any of the earlier writers. (Hierocl. p. 669; Ptol. 5.2.21; Concil. Constant. 3. p. 502; Concil. Nicaen. 2. p. 591; comp. Sestini, Geog. Num. p. 55.) It is commonly supposed to have occupied the site of the modern Sidas Kaleh.
