Sidodone

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

SIDODO´NE(Σιδωδώνηor Σισιδώνη, Arrian, Ind. 100.37), a small place on the coast of Carmania, noticed by Arrian in Nearchus's voyage. Kempthorne thinks that it is represented by a small fishing village called Mogou;but Muller suggests, what seems more probable, that it is the present Duan. ( Geogr. Graec. Minor. p. 359, ed. Müller, Paris, 1855.)
