SIDO´NES(Σίδωνες), a tribe in the extreme east of Germany, about the sources of the Vistula (Ptol. 2.11.21), and no doubt the same which appears in Strabo (7. p. 306) under the name of Σίδονες, as a branch of the Bastarnae.[L.S]
