Stephanaphana

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

STEPHANAPHANA more correctly, perhaps, Stephani Fanum, a place in Illyris Graeca, on the Via Egnatia ( Itin. Hieros. p. 608). It was the castle of St. Stephen (τοῦ ἁλίου Στεφάνου), repaired by Justinian. (Procop. de Aed. 4.4.) Lapie places it on the river Boscovitza.
