TEMENOTHYRA(Τημένου θύραι, Paus. 1.35.7: Eth. Τημενοθυρεύς, Coins), a small city of Lydia, according to Pausanias (l. c.), or of Phrygia, according to Hierocles (p. 668, ed. Wess.). It would seem to have been situated upon the borders of—which name is probably only another form of the Temenothyriate—are placed by Ptolemy (Ptol. 5.2.15) in Mysia. (Eckhel, vol. 3. p. 119.)
