THEODOSIOPOLIS(also called APRI), a town in the SE. of Thrace, on the road from Cypsela to Byzantium, a short distance to the E. of the source of the river Melas. Ammianus (27.4.12) mentions it by the latter name as one of the two chief towns of Europa, the designation in his time of the SE. division of Thrace.
