THO´ARIS or THOA´RIUS(Θόαριςor Θοάριος), a small coast river in Pontus Polemoniacus (Arrian, Peripl. P. E. p. 16; Anon. Peripl. P. E. p. 11), is now called Gheureh, Irmak, or perhaps more correctly Thureh Irmak. (Hamilton, Researches, 1. p. 279.)
