THY´MBRIA(Θυμβρία), a small town of Caria, only 4 stadia east of Myus on the banks of the Maeander; in its neighbourhood there was a socalled Charonium, or cave from which poisonous vapours issued. (Strab. 14. p. 636.)[L.S]
