TREVIDON a place in Gallia, mentioned by Sidonius Apollinaris ( Propempt. ), the position of which is partly determined by the fact of the poet fixing Trevidon in the mountainous region of Central France, and partly by the existence of a place named Trèveon the boundary of the old province of Rouergue, and on a little river named Trevesel. The mountain in which the Treveselrises ( Lesperou) is the Vicinum nimis heu! jugum Rutenis
