U´SBIUM(Οὔσβιον), a town mentioned by Ptolemy (Ptol. 2.11.30) in the south-east of Germania, probably in the territory of the Marcomanni, seems to be identical with the modern Ispern, on a rivulet of the same name.[L.S]
