VAGNIACAE a town of the Cantii in Britannia Romana, between Noviomagus and Durobrivae. Camden (p. 226) identifies it with Maidstone, Horsley (p. 424), with more probability, with North-fleet. Others have sought it near Longfield, and at Wrotham.
