VEMA´NIA a town of Vindelicia, on the road between Augusta Vindelicorum and Brigantium ( It. Ant. pp. 237, 251, 259; Tab. Peut. ), seems to have been a place of some importance, as it was the station of the prefect of the third legion, who had to guard the frontier from this town to Campodunum. ( Not. Imp, ) The place now occupying the site is called Wangen.
