ZOROANDA(Plin. Nat. 6.27. s. 31), a place on the range of Mount Taurus, where the Tigris fell into a cavern, and reappeared on the other side of the mountain; perhaps the spot discovered by Rich, 11 leagues from Julamerik, where an eastern tributary of the Tigris suddenly falls into a chasm in the mountain. (Rich, Koordistan, 1. p. 378; cf. Ritter, Erdk. 10. p. 86, seq.; D'Anville, l'Euphr. et le Tigre, p. 74.)
