Aharna

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

AHARNA a town of Etruria, mentioned only by Livy (Liv. 10.25) during the campaign of Fabius in that country, B.C. 295. He affords no clue to its position, which is utterly unknown. Cluverius and other writers have supposed it to be the same with ARNA but this seems scarcely reconcilable with the circumstances of the campaign. (Cluver. Italp. 626.)
