AQUAE LABANAE(τὰ Λαβανὰ ὕδατα), are mentioned by Strabo (5. p. 238) as cold sulphureous waters analogous in their medical properties to those of the Albula, and situated near Nomentum: they are clearly the same now called Bagni di Grotta Marozzaabout 3 miles N. of Mentana, the ancient Nomentum.
