Aquae Segete

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

AQUAE SEGETE the name of a place in the Theodosian Table, which may possibly be corrupt. It is designated as the site of mineral waters, and in the neighbourhood of Forum Segusianorum, or Feur, in the department of Haute Loire. The exact site of the place does not appear to be certain. D'Anville fixes it at Aissumin, on the right bank of the Loire: others place it near Montbrison.
