ARANGAS(ὁ Ἀράγκας ἢ Ἀράγγας ὄρος), a mountain of Inner Libya, placed by Ptolemy immediately N. of the Equator, in 47 1/2° long., and 1° 35′ N. lat., in a part of Central Africa, now entirely unknown. (Ptol. 4.6.12.)
