ARUALTES(ὁ Ἀρουάλτης ὄρος, a mountain of Inner Libya, placed by Ptolemy a little to the N. of the Equator, in 33° long. and 3° N. lat., in a part of Central Africa now entirely unknown. In it were the peoples Nabathrae (Ναβάθραι) and Xulicces (Ξυλικκεῖς Αἰθίοπες), the latter extending to M. Arangas. (Ptol. 4.6. § § 12, 20, 23.)
