ASMIRAEA(Ἀσμιραία), a district of Serica, N. of the Asmiraei M. (τὰ Ἀσμίραια ὄρη), with a city of the same name (Ptol. 6.16. § § 2, 3, 5, 6; Ammian. 23.6); perhaps Khamnilor Hami, a considerable emporium of Chinese Tartary, in 42° 30′ N. lat., and. 93° 40′ E. long. [P.S]
