Azorus

AZO´RUS(Ἄζωρος, Ἀζώριον, Ptol. 3.13.42: Eth. Ἀζωρίτης), a town in Perrhaebia in Thessaly situated at the foot of Mount Olympus. Azorus, with the two neighbouring towns of Pythium and Doliche, formed a Tripolis. (Liv. 42.53, 44.2.) There was also a town of the name of Azoras in Pelagonia in Macedonia.
