Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

CANDIDIA´NA(Κανδιδιανά), a fort on the Danube in Lower Moesia, in which a detachment of light troops was garrisoned. (Procop. de Aed. 4.7.; Itin. Ant. 223.) It was situated near the modern Kiliman, and was perhaps the same place as the Nigriniana of the Tab. Peut. and the Geog. Rav. (4.7).
