CHARADRIAE(Χαραδρίαι), a town on the N. coast of the peninsula of Acte, mentioned by Scylax (p. 26), which Colonel Leake ( North. Greece, vol. 3. p. 152) identifies with Vatopedhi(Βατοπέδιον), the most ancient of all the monasteries in Mt. Athos, as it was founded by Constantine the Great.
