CI´SSIDES(Κισσίδες) or CISSIDAE, a place on the coast of Lycia, 80 stadia east of the island Lagusa along the coast, according to the Stadiasmus, and 85 east of Telmessus. Leake (Asia Minor, p. 182) concludes that Cissides was the name of the peninsular promontory, on the south side of which is the island and harbour of St. Nicholas.The ruins which he saw on the cape and island belonged to a late period of the Roman empire. Fellows (Lycia, p. 247) thinks that a place called by the Greeks Lavisse, of which Macriis the port or scala, is the site of Cissides.
