DE´CUMA a town of Hispania Baetica, near the river Baetis, and apparently on its left bank, near its junction with the SINGULIS(Plin. Nat. 3.1. s. 3.) It is supposed to be the same place as the DETUMO of which we have some coins (Mionnet, Suppl. vol. 1. p. 114; Sestini, p. 88); and Harduin takes it for the Δητοῦνδαof Ptolemy (Ptol. 2.4.11).
