HIPPOCORO´NIUM(Ἱπποκορώνιον), a city in Crete mentioned by Strabo (10. p. 472), which Höck has placed near Hierapytna. Mr. Pashley ( Trav. vol. 1. p. 62) considers that the modern Apokóironais a corruption of the ancient name.[E.B.J]
