Leucas

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

LEUCAS(Λευκάς), a place in Bithynia, on the river Gallus, in the south of Nicaea, is mentioned only by Anna Comnena (p. 470), but can be easily identified, as its name Lefkeis still borne by a neat little town in the middle of the beautiful valley of the Gallus. (Leake, Asia Minor, pp. 12, 13.)
