NERTOBRIGA(Νερτόβριγα).

1. A town of Hispania Baetica (Ptol. 2.4.13), also called by Pliny (Plin. Nat. 3.1. s. 3) Concordia Julia, the modern Valera la vieja. It is named Ἐρκόβρικαin the copies of Polybius (Plb. 35.2), by an omission of the N. (Ukert, vol. ii. pt. 1. p. 381.)


2. A town of the Celtiberi in Hispania Tarraconensis, on the road from Emerita to Caesaraugusta. It is called by Appian Νεργόβριγα ( Hisp. 50), and by Suidas Νεργόβριγες : now Almunia. (Ptol. 2.6.58; Florus (Flor. 2.17; Ant. Itin. 437; Ukert, vol. ii. pt. 1. p. 460.) [T.H.D]
