NICEPHO´RIUS an affluent of the Tigris, which washed the walls of Tigranocerta (Tac. Ann. 15.4), now the Bitlís-chäí, which rises at Bash Khán, on the S. of Jebel Nimrúd, and W. of Lake Ván. (Chesney, Exped. Euphrat. vol. 1. p. 18; Ritter, Erdkunde, vol. 10. p. 88.) Kiepert's map identifies it with the Jezedchane Sú.
