PATIGRAN(Ammian, 23.6), one of the three principal towns mentioned by Ammianus Marcellinus in Media. This place is nowhere else noticed; but it is not impossible that the name is a barbarous corruption of the Tigrana of Ptolemy (Ptol. 6.2.9).[V]
