PERIMU´LA(Περίμουλα,, Ptol. 7.2.5), the name of a town of some commercial importance on the W. side of the Sinus Magnus (or gulf of Siam), on a tongue of land anciently called the Aurea Chersonesus, and now known by the name of Malacca. Lassen places it in lat. 7° N. In its immediate neighbourhood was a small bay or indentation of the coast, which was called the Sinus Perimulicus (Περιμουλικὸς κόλπος).
