PHURGISATIS(Φουργισατίς), a town in the south of Germany, mentioned only by Ptolemy (Ptol. 2.11.30) ; it was situated in the country of the Quadi, and Wilhelm ( Germanien, p. 230) believes that it existed in Moravia, in the neighbourhood of Znaim.
