Rehob

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

REHOB(Ῥοώβ, al.Ῥαάβ, al. Ἐρεώ), a town in the tribe of Asher, occupied by the Canaanites. (Josh. 19.28; Judg. 1.31.) A second city of the same name is reckoned among the 22 cities of the same tribe (Josh. 19.30); but neither of these can be identified with the Rhoob (ποῶβ) noticed by Eusebius, 4 miles distant from Scythopolis.
