Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography

SABIS(Σάβις), a small river of Carmania, which is mentioned by Mela in connection with two other small streams, the Andanis and Coros (3.8). It is also noticed by Pliny, who places it in the neighbourhood of Harmuza ( Ormúz, 6.23. s. 27). Ptolemy speaks of a town in Carmania of the same name with this river (6.8.14).
