SINIS(Σίνις), a Roman colony in the district of Melitene in Armenia Minor. (Ptol. 5.7.5.) The place is not mentioned by any other writer, but it is possible that it may be the same place as the one which Procopius ( de Aed. 3.4) simply calls Κολωνία.
