SUCCI or SUCCORUM ANGUSTIAE, the principal pass of Mount Haemus in Thrace, between Philippopolis and Serdica, with a town of the same name. (Ammian. 21.10.2, 22.2.2, 26.10.4.) It is called Σοῦκιςby Sozomenus (2.22), and Σουσάκεεςby Nicephorus (ix 13). Now the pass of Ssulu Derbendor Demir Kapi(Comp. V. Hammer, Gesch. des Osman. Reichs, 1. p. 175.)
