SUCIDAVA(Σουκίδαυα, Ptol. 3.10.11), a town in Moesia Inferior, between Durostorum and Axiopolis. ( Itin. Ant. p. 224; Tab. Pent.; Not. Imp. ) Procopius calls it Συκιδάβα ( de Aed. 4.7. p. 298, ed. Bonn) and Σικίβιδα ( Ib. p. 291). Variously identified with Osenik, or Assenik, and Satonou.
