SUCRO(Σούκρων, Ptol. 2.6.14), a river of Hispania Tarraconensis, which rose in the country of the Celtiberi in a S. offshoot of Mount Idubeda, and after a considerable bend to the SE. discharged itself in the Sucronensis Sinus, to the S. of Valentia. (Strab. iii. pp. 158, 159, 163, 167; Mela,2.6 Plin, 3.3. ss. 4, 5, 11.) Now the Xucar.
