TUBURBO MAJUS and MINUS (Θουβουρβώ, Ptol. 4.3.35), two neighbouring towns in the interior of Byzacium. The latter is still; called Tebourba;the former is variously identified with Tubersoleand Zaghouan. Pliny (Plin. Nat. 5.4. s. 4) writes the name Tuburbis. ( Itin. Ant. pp. 44, 48; Tab. Pent. )
