VARCIANI(Οὐαρκιανοί), a tribe in Upper Pannonia, which is mentioned by both Pliny (Plin. Nat. 3.28) and Ptolemy (Ptol. 2.15.2), but of which nothing is known, except that it probably occupied the western portion of Slavonia.[L.S]
