VENETICAE INSULAE in Gallia, mentioned by Pliny (Plin. Nat. 4.19), are the numerous small islands along the coast of Venetia, or the modern department of Morbihan. The largest is Belle-île. The others are Houat, Hedic, Groain, and some others. Perhaps the peninsula of Quiberonmay be included [VENETI; VINDILIS].
