with comp.and sup, inexperienced, unversed, unfamiliar, not knowing, unacquainted with, unskilled, ignorant: homo, T.: callidum imperitus fraudasse dicitur: ne quis imperitior existimet, me, etc.: multitudo, L.: homo morum, with no experience of life: tam imperitus rerum, ut, etc., of so little experience, Cs.—Plurm. as subst: sermones imperitorum, the vulgar: cum imperitis manūs conserere, S.: contio quae ex imperitissimis constat, etc.
