II An island in the Aegaean Sea , Ov. M. 7, 469.—

III A city in Ionia (also called Dĭdyma , Δίδυμα), in the Milesian territory, now Jeronda or Joran, with a temple and oracle of Apollo , called Dĭdy-mēon , i, n., Διδυμεῖον, Curt. 7, 5, 28; cf. Mütz. and Zumpt, ad h. l.—Hence also, Dĭdymeus (trisyl.), ei, m., = Διδυμεύς, the Didymean , i. e. Apollo, Mel. 1, 17, 1.
