Īnōpus, i, m. [Ἰνωπός],

a fountain and river in the island of Delos , where Latona brought forth Apollo and Diana. It is said to have risen and fallen at the same time with the Nile , and hence was supposed to be connected with it by a subterraneous channel , Plin. 2, 103, 166, § 229; Val. Fl. 5, 105.
