Mĕlĭtensis, e, adj. [Melita],

of or belonging to the isle of Malta, Melitan, Maltese : vestis, Cic. Verr. 2, 2, 72, § 176: rosa, id. ib. 2, 5, 11, § 27.—In plur. subst. : Mĕ-lĭtensia , ĭum (sc. vestimenta), Melitan garments , Cic. Verr. 2, 2, 74, § 183 (but in Lucr. 4, 1130, the correct read. is alidensia).
