albātus, a, um, adj. [from albus, as atratus from ater],

clothed in white : cum ipse epuli dominus albatus esset, * Cic. Vatin. 13; * Hor. S. 2, 2, 61; so Suet. Dom. 12.—In the Circensian games, one party, which was clothed in white, was called albati, Plin. 8, 42, 65, § 160 Hard. (cf. russatus, Juv. 7, 114).
