ambrŏsĭus, a, um, adj., = ἀμβρόσιος,

immortal , divine , ambrosial (syn.: immortalis, divinus), in gen., all that pertains to the gods, and their prerogatives and endowments; hence, an epithet for every thing lovely , pleasant , sweet , etc. (in gen. only poet.): comae, Verg.
